Coética Annual Summit
The Coética Annual Summit is the center’s central strategic platform and represents the culmination of the work of the Youth Academy and the “Hacedores” laboratory, as it integrates thought, training, capacity building, initiative, and fieldwork within a shared space.
It is scheduled to take place in September 2026 in the city of Barcelona, aiming to bring together 500 participants from 40 countries—including thinkers, community leaders, academics, experts, and interested individuals—to discuss the challenges of coexistence in the 21st century from two perspectives:
Local axis: focuses on issues of ethical coexistence and living together in Spain and Europe, proposing to move beyond the framework of “minorities” toward the horizon of “ethical coexistence” (mujálaqa) as an integrative moral framework.
Global axis: dedicated to studying global “ethical coexistence,” understood as a framework for human compassion and international cooperation based on shared human values, highlighting the role of ethics both in international humanitarian work and in international relations.
The summit will conclude with the adoption of the Barcelona Declaration, which will serve as a reference document for institutional and community leadership.
